Siena Yannotti

I move to be understood in the most authentic way possible. My body acts as the display of my intimate knowledge to divulge myself to anyone who wishes to know.

About

Siena Yannotti is a dancer, choreographer, and environmental researcher originally from New Jersey. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Dance with a concentration in Performance/Choreography with a double major in Environmental Science at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Yannotti has performed works by Robert Battle, Larry Keigwin, Moscelyne ParkeHarrison, Erika Pujič, and Chia-Ying Kao. She has also performed with Monica Bill Barnes and Company and as a featured dancer in Tenzin Choegyal and Philip Glass’s world premiere of Be the Sky.

In addition to her passion for artistic exploration, Yannotti has a drive for environmental science and research. Her curiosity has taken her all over the world: from Newport, Rhode Island, studying regenerative agriculture to Paro, Bhutan, researching the implementation of groundwater in Himalayan regions. She identifies as a creative, multidisciplinary scientist by incorporating her artistic perspective into scientific research and approaching movement with an analytic lens.

Post graduation, Yannotti plans on pursuing a career in concert dance and freelance choreography, (wherever in the world that may take her).
